Dream Destination Wedding in Dublin, Ireland
Isn’t it a dream to have a destination wedding at a castle in Ireland with your soulmate, surrounded by the people you love most in the entire world?
Well that is exactly what Jeanna and Matt envisioned last fall. Originally the wedding was supposed to be on the Eye of Ireland – which is an uninhabited island, but it was far too treacherous for most people to get out there as you literally have to jump from the ferry to the rocks to get on the island.
Instead, the amazing staff at Clontarf Castle set up the courtyard as the alternative wedding site and their wedding could not have turned out more magical.
After trying on 47 dresses to make sure she had chosen the perfect one, Jeanna walked around the corner to see her husband to be, standing in front of the magnificent Clontarf Castle. The crisp air and the falling leaves slowed time as they committed themselves to one another.
Matt and Jeanna’s destination wedding was a dream, you can see their love and joy in the way they lock eyes, hold hands and have a little fun. We even hiked up a trail for some mesmerizing cliff images.
Her advice for couples planning their special day is to “Breathe. Remember it’s about you, not everyone else. There will always be drama and things that go wrong.” But this is your day and none of that matters as long as you are with the one you love.
“So don’t hold back. If you feel like being silly, romantic or serious… go with it. Being you is the best way to be. Don’t force anything that is unnatural. Have fun!”
Matt and Jeanna had a true fairytale wedding surrounded by their family and friends. A true dream come true. Leave some words of advice in the comments for this lovely couple below. May their love continue to grow.
As always epic thanks to my associate photographer Shelli of Shelli Quattlebaum Photography.
