Zach and Ellie have a very modern love story. They met online, but not the way you might think—they met on MySpace! How cool is that? Zach saw her profile photo, clicked through, and they were fast friends. Best friends. And they continued to be for several years before beginning to date 5 years ago.
This wedding was an absolute whirlwind of fun. It had a country flair with the cutest handmade touches like the centerpieces Ellie created. It was a lovely Colorado fall day; the weather couldn’t have been nicer. Ellie and Zach both worked so hard leading up to the day, on details, on planning and coordinating. Their entire family was integral in setting up and prepping for the wedding. A day that could have been stressful was incredibly joyful and exciting with the people in their lives and it was really cool to see them all come together and enjoy the process.
Ellie was such a happy bride. She wore a beautiful dress and vintage jewelry passed down in her family, but the prettiest thing about her was her smile. She couldn’t stop! And Zach is a quieter guy, unless you talk to him about Ellie or his trucks. His eyes light up for either of those things, so it only made sense that we do a few photos with them and Zach’s truck. It was the perfect shot for this couple.
She and Zach had the sweetest moment when they first saw each other. They waited until the ceremony and as she walked down the aisle, it was like no one else was there. I’m a sucker for those sweet moments. I knew they were both a little anxious about the vows, but again, that all melted away when they saw one another.
Their day was capped off by a visit from a small herd of elk at the reception. It really was the perfect mountain wedding and I don’t think either of them would have changed a thing. I know I wouldn’t! Thank you both for inviting me to be a part of it!

As always epic thanks to my associate photographer Candace of Candace Sims Photography
