As a Colorado wedding photographer it is vital to continue to educated yourself. There is always something new to learn, perfect or pass on to others. In 2015 and continuing into 2016 I have been attending several workshops and classes to broaden my horizons. Even after 15 years of photographing weddings, engagements, etc. I find myself hungry for this new knowledge. At these events I have had the amazing pleasure to meet and work with some extremely talented photographers and other industry leaders here in Colorado.
In addition to local classes and workshops I am so excited that this year I will be attending WPPI 2016 in Las Vegas. WPPI stands for Wedding & Portrait Photographers International. This convention is amazing everything from the newest technology in photo and video to over 215 classes, workshops and photo-walks, all in 7 days. These classes are taught by world class photographers and industry leaders. I can’t wait to immerse myself in this world for 5 days! As a photographer, the learning and growing process never stops, even if it is perfecting a system or method you already employ or trying a new tool or style workshops are a great way to experiment. Below you will see some of my favorite images from a styled session in October in which I got to photograph alongside Tony Clapp of Tony Clapp Photography and some amazing vendors that provided everything from the incredible venue, flowers, dresses, makeup artists and hairstylists to the extremely gifted models.
